I offer therapeutic support and guidance to parents during the postnatal period and beyond.
I am a registered Health Visitor and Paediatric Nurse. I graduated from Southampton University with an honours degree in Paediatric Nursing in 2004 and worked at Guys and St Thomas’ hospitals in London across a variety of specialities, including Neonatal Care.
In 2008, I decided to pursue my passion for early years and for promotion of health and wellbeing in families. I was awarded distinction on completion of a postgraduate diploma as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and have worked as a Health Visitor in the NHS ever since.
I now work independently, working with families to help parents meet the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of their children. I aim to provide current evidence based guidance and non-judgemental support. I have three young children of my own and appreciate the complexity of parenting. I am here to listen to you and your experience of caring for your child and help you get to a place with your parenting that you are happier with.
I am experienced in offering guidance in the postnatal period, including breastfeeding support and on through the early years of a child’s life. Fussy eating, speech and language concerns, challenging behaviour, potty training and sleep issues are all areas that I am able to support you with.
Coming from a paediatric nursing background, I have special insight and experience in the complexities of caring for children suffering ill health, children with special educational needs and the extra support that their families sometime need. I understand that navigating the health care system can sometimes feel overwhelming and stressful. When working with families in these unique situations I aim to provide a consistent, informed and holistic role to support you on your journey.
